Hey, I'm Faith Younker a senior here at PAHS! I spend most of my time with my family & friends! My interests are traveling, golfing, the beach, the Lake, concerts, shopping, & photography. I also enjoy playing acoustic guitar. Once I graduate I plan on starting my own business’s.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade celebrated 96 years this past Thanksgiving. The annual event included 12 marching bands, 28 floats, and 16 giant character balloons.

J.S.Cs new principal has a tiktok page called principal_lubinsky. She has 3846 followers and 226k likes. She posts several different videos on her page, one of the main types is radio-style contests with the staff.

On the day of the carnival students get to go outside and enjoy the 2 ½ hour event known as the Crimson Carnival. Students enjoy hanging out with each other especially with the seniors before they leave. Senior Jason Fermaintt said “It’s pretty fun. All the activities the staff put together are really cool. And I like how it’s something everyone can agree on so nobody is left out.”

Jefferson loves spending time with her dog Remi. Jefferson stated some of the things she did over break she said “During spring break I spent time with my family on Easter. We had dinner at my grandmothers house with the rest of my family. I took some naps here and there, hung out with my friends and my dog.”

Vice President Dominic Alvarez, President Maddie Strauss, and Secretary Annabelle Chaklos were elected at one of the first big meetings. Each of them have an important role which they live up to at each meeting. Maddie Strauss said “I love being President. Having leadership in a club I’m really passionate about is an honor. I love leading discussions and helping the club decide on what to debate next.”

Ava Jefferson and her parents went to her grandmothers house to celebrate Christmas. Everyone celebrates Christmas differently, but Jefferson celebrated following her family’s tradition. Jefferson said “On Christmas I got to see my grandmother for dinner later in the day. In the morning we open gifts at my house, then I go to my other grandmothers and then also my grandfathers.”

Students worked hard to pass their keystone retakes. While many others got to sleep in. Maddy Forbes said “I was sleeping until 8:30 which isn’t normal for me. It was better for my mental health. For any normal school day I dread getting up. Recently it’s been fine because there’s no stress.”

Ava Jefferson and her dog Remi love spending time together outdoors. Remi is a German Shorthair Pointer, who just turned one. Ava said she is looking forward to having time off from school, so she has more time to spend with him. “I love going hunting with Remi each season, and am looking forward to going with him more because of break.”

On Friday, October 29th, PAHS students demonstrated their Tide Pride by wearing school spirit wear. All students were able to participate in the red ribbon week, but Friday’s was the favorite by far.

Students have the option to switch to full virtual learning very soon. This will cause a decrease in students in the school, and may cause almost empty classrooms. “I think having the option to be able to switch to virtual if needed is great. You can get your work done and be home at the same time, and your at less of a risk of getting sick” said sophomore Olivia Moser.

PAHS Students enjoy an outdoor pep-rally. They are all taking advantage of the relaxed dress code to keep them from getting too hot in the heat outdoors. “I like the relaxed dress code because for events like theses they keep everyone comfortable”, said senior Faith Eckley.
