Subscribe to PewDiePie?

Who is PewDiePie? PewDiePie is a YouTuber who has a lot of subscribers. He can also be considered the king of YouTube by doing Let’s Play commentaries and his comedic-formatted shows on YouTube. His real name is Felix Ulf Kjellberg. He is from Sweden as well.

Another YouTuber, who runs an Indian music company called T-Series, was trying to take over. PewDiePie was worried that he would no longer be king of Youtube.

Some students in Pottsville are fans of PewDiePie. Sophomore Nico Boris said, “I support him.”

Some things didn’t go so well though. A good example is when students post stuff about subscribing to PewDiePie on Schoology. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying subscribing to PewDiePie is a bad thing. I think it would be a great idea.

On Schoology, there is a place where students can post stuff about classwork or projects. Unfortunately, someone posted a photo showing the phrase Subscribe to PewDiePie.

Freshman Raeff DiCello said that he thinks students do this because “they’re trying to be funny.”

There are things you should or should not do on Schoology. Do classwork on there, because you’ll get extra credit. Post school projects, because you need to work on them. Do homework or study, so you have your assignments done. Do your tests, because you need to pass them! Don’t post something inappropriate, because you’ll get in trouble. Don’t hack, because it’s illegal.

Freshman Aidan Moran said that some students “don’t realize that school websites are a lot different than social media.”
