Students prepare for Art Show

The 2023 Art Show Annual event will be held at John S. Clarke Elementary Center. The event will be held on Friday, May 12, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and with just a few weeks leading up to the Art Show, students of all ages are anticipating seeing their artworks being on display. This year Sketch Club hosts sketch nights in the hopes of adding a collaborative piece for the art show.

“It’s important to showcase and celebrate the works of the students,”said Senior Robert Omahaboy. “It is important to showcase and celebrate the works that the students have put forth throughout the year. I’ve been to one art show since freshman year. Helpers for the art show selfless working hard,” said Omahaboy.
Many students convey their anticipation in being a helper at JSC for the Art Show.

Junior, Andy Tucker said, “This year is my first time being a helper. I feel excited about helping out with the art show. I put only one piece into the art show. My drawing is a work fully done pen without pencil sketch.”

“I am looking forward to the art show. I need to add my paintings but overall, I am excited to get out of school,” said Junior, Madison Shrift.

Sophomore Adonis Harrison said, “I put some of my projects in the art show but probably won’t go to the art show. This semester has been so stressful so I have to focus on catching up with my assignments. Still, I think it’s a great opportunity for artists to show their talents.”
