September 25th was a great night for Pottsville Girls’ Soccer Team Seniors. The Lady Tide team dominated the Blue Devils Of Shenandoah Valley girls’ team. The game ended with a 13 – 0 win!
Some of the seniors playing for Pottsville this year have been playing together for almost 7 years. Lauren Kelly, a senior for Pottsville, states in a recent interview that she believes that Pottsville’s girls’ soccer team has had so much success because of the years of chemistry the girls have together. There are 11 seniors playing and some of them have been together since before middle school.
Kailey Olenick scored 3 goals, Aubrey Snyder scored 2 goals, Abby Davis had a goal, and 4 assists, Trinity Mendofik, Cami Quirin-Morris, Lauren Kelly, Brooke Palko, Hadley Snyder, Lauren Goodman, and Emma Adams also scored goals. Hadley Snyder had 3 assists.
With the rain pouring down, the game was called after the second half kickoff and theLady Tide soccer team won 13-0. Pottsville ups their record in Schuylkill League Division One to 7-1, and their overall record improves to 8-3-1.
The Lady Tide Seniors were honored on the 25th with their parents during half time by walking down the center of the field and receiving flowers and gifts for their commitment to their team.
