Apple Unveiled iPhone 14

Apple launched its new iPhone of the 2022 year with a range of 4 dierent phones. On September 16, 2022, they released the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 pro, and the iPhone 14 pro max. The iPhone 14 max will be scheduled to be released on October 7, 2022 and there will be no inclusion of the iPhone mini this year.

The iPhone impacts the world by building massive clean energy projects in China, getting away from conflict minerals, leading the way with green bonds, and many more ways. The first iPhone was introduced to us in 2004 by Steve Jobs and his team. Just in 2021, Apple generated 365 billion dollars in revenue from their iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and other items.

Prices of Apple’s iPhones are decreasing due to the company attempting to shift its center of thought away from phones and toward its services business. The retail price for the iPhone 14 is $799.00 and the other three prices range from $899.00 to $1,099.00.

When Apple released the iPhone 12 series they featured a purple color that had a hidden meaning behind it. The meaning behind the purple color was a special tribute to the late Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs. The year, 2021 marked 10 years since Steve Jobs’ passing and it was said that Jobs’s favorite color was purple. The iPhone 14 pro and pro max will have the returning color but in a darker shade entitled “Deep Purple.” The iPhone 14 and 14 max have the original purple. “When Apple announced an iPhone would be sold in purple, I was so excited. The new purple on the iPhone 14 pro and pro max definitely caught my eye,” said senior Ava Jefferson.

Just like every new iPhone, the iPhone 14 and 14 plus have new features. iPhone 14 has a force sensor that’ll be used to sense when you’re in a car crash and it will only be activated in a car. Apple also improved the Cinematic mode for the iPhone 14 series, which can record in 4K at 30fps and 4K at 24fps using the feature. Lastly, Emergency SOS via satellite is designed to connect you to emergency personnel when traditional cellular and Wi-Fi service isn’t available. Just like the iPhone 14 and 14 plus the iPhone 14 pro and pro max have all these features plus more. Apple added the dynamic island, always-on display, 48mp main camera, ultra-wide camera, 2x telephoto, and up to 2x brighter display outdoors. Just like the iPhone 13, all new iPhones have USB-C lightning cables. Apple also decided iPhones no longer need a physical SIM card and will now use eSIM.

“All the 14s have many new camera upgrades that I will be using every day. My favorite feature is the Emergency SOS via satellite because you never know when you will need it but you will have it just in case,” said senior Alyssa Goodman.
