It’s the 2023-24 school year, a brand new year filled with new opportunities and new changes to our faculty. To learn more about the new changes and improvements, we interviewed the Dean of Students, Mrs. Holobetz.
“Some of the changes that we are going to make are that students will have more responsibility with various tasks to accomplish,” she said. “We want to stress that we are not making new rules. We are just enforcing them now,” she said.
We also received some student feedback on these changes.
“I’m alright with all of the changes – besides that of the lunch schedule, with how you have to pick,” said eighth grader Leah Meyer-Kauffman. “I believe that it should be picked at lunch instead of where you mark everything down at lunch tables, or let everyone have a chance to email friends and then everyone picks at once with knowledge of their seats. I enjoy sitting besides my friends, as well as the possibility that we might be able to use our phones within the cafe.”
It’s going to be a great year at Lengel Middle School.
