Taylor Swift came out with her 7th and newest album, ​Lover, on August 23, 2019. In this album she has 18 songs that have mostly the same theme of love and happiness. This is completely different from her ​Reputation​ album. Taylor’s last album was very dark and ​Lover​ is the complete opposite. Lover is Taylor’s third album in the pop genre.

Some of the top hits to come off of the album are “ Lover, ” “ME!,” and “You Need To Calm Down.” My personal favorite is “Lover” featuring Shawn Mendes. Taylor created Lover Fest in lieu of a 2020 Lover Stadium Tour, but unfortunately she only has four shows. The two shows on the east coast (in Boston), and the two on the west coast (in Los Angeles) sold out very quickly. It will be interesting to see if Taylor decides to do a world tour in 2021. This album is sure to be a record breaker. I highly recommend purchasing this album it is sure to pick up your mood.
