Scholastic book fair excites Lengel students
Starting on December 5, and running for a week until December 11, grades 5 through 8 will have a book fair. Since this is the fifth graders’ first book fair in the middle school, I asked them some question before and after their book fair.
Before the book fair, 5th grader Trinity Mendofik said, “I can’t wait until it’s my turn to go to the book fair.” 5th grader Caitlyn Peleschak agreed. After the book fair, Caitlyn bought one book called “Ugly” by Robert Hoge and a microphone eraser with a sharpener in it. Trinity bought a book called “Outcasts United” by Warren St. John and a bookmark. There are lots of books and other fun things you can buy at the book fair. Mr. Schuettler, librarian, works hard to bring the book fair to DHHL every year for the students to enjoy.
The book fair will be held in the library on the third floor. All students and faculty can go to the book fair too! All students will be going to the book fair with different classes at different days and different times. Most students will visit either during library, ELA, or digital citizenship class. There will also be a family night held tonight (Thursday, December 7) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The day that your class goes to the book fair, make sure to have money so you can buy something!
