D.H.H. Lengel receives award from Walmart
Every year, Walmart donates a check to a school in the area. The amount that gets donated is the same as the number of safe miles that all drivers from Pottsville who work for Walmart Transportation at High Ridge Park drove over the summer. Walmart presented a check to D.H.H. Lengel Middle school for $1,613.85, which is from the 1,613 safe miles the workers from Pottsville drove. The awarded money is going to be used for the STEM and Tide Tek programs at the middle school. A brand new 3D printer and coding robots will be purchased for the middle school students. “We are extremely grateful for the Walmart transportation department and their donation of $1,600 dollars,” Mr. Mike Maley, middle school principal, said.
