Pottsville Fitness Challenge
Kaile Conrad is a freshman at PAHS. She is involved in multiple extra-curricular activities outside of school. When she has free time, she enjoys drawing. She has been in art classes ever since she was young and is currently in Foundations of Art.
Conrad created this drawing to enter an upcoming contest to represent the 2017 Pottsville Fitness Challenge. The Pottsville Fitness Challenge is an organized attempt to create a better Schuylkill County. Advisers create a daily fitness plan for the month of July in an attempt to motivate the citizens to get involved. The activities vary from open swims, agility camps and individual walking to yoga classes and water aerobics.
1. What inspired you to enter in this contest?
“A lot of people in my art class enjoyed my work, and few of them convinced me to create a drawing to enter the contest.”
2. What mediums are used in this art piece?
“I used regular sharpies.”
3. What are your favorite mediums to use when drawing?
“I really love to use thin sharpies. They’re easy to draw with, and they’re easier to add details to a drawing.”
4. Do you plan on taking any more art classes at PAHS?
“Yes, I plan to take photography as a junior.”
