Students Show Off Technology Skills in PA Media Design Competition
On Tuesday May 21, students from many schools competed at the PA Media Design Competition at Dickinson College in Carlisle. The PA Media Design Competition is an annual event that allows students from different schools to compete against each other using their computer and technology skills. Students can compete in several categories including 3D design, animation, logo and graphic design, digital movie, programming, and web page design.
“It gives students a chance to see what’s out there in the different categories they’re interested in. There are six different categories and in each one they can see, not only what they can do in that category, but what other students around the state are doing,” said adviser Mr. Stephen Horvath. The students who represented Pottsville were freshmen Emilee Rose and Alannah Mameosh, sophomore Julia Malek and junior Brady Witmier.
“The PA Media and Design Competition is a really great experience. It give kids a chance to explore their creativity and see students from around the state making interesting and inventive things. I love being able to showcase my hard work and being able to see the talent of other students from all around,” said Malek.
“It was a great experience and very interesting to see the work from other competitors,” said
