Outside of the art room 12 there is a big board of all different pieces of artwork. These pieces of artwork are done by multiple students that are involved in the art classes. Senior Gwen Hamilton said, “My piece modeled after synesthesia, a brain disorder that allows people to experience several senses at one time like hearing different sounds will result in seeing different colors, will be featured in the art show.”

The PAHS art show is normally an in-person show held at John S. Clarke. Despite it being virtual, students were still eager to submit their various artwork pieces. “I am a little sad that there isn’t an in person show, but I’m glad that there’s still something going on. The art students deserve to show off the works that they’re proud of. I submitted a landscape painting because I really liked how the colors turned out,” said senior Meg Burns.

Senior Preston Hunter submitted a painting of a Halo character for his Painting III class. “I wanted to do what I like in every art piece, so I wanted to choose that game [Halo] to represent what I like to play. The hardest part was the detail in the mask of the character and making it look realistic. It took me about five hours of work to complete my painting. (All artwork featured in the gallery chosen by the PAHS Art Department.)
