Girls soccer dominates North Schuykill

Alexa Giuffre steals the ball from a North Schuylkill defender. “The game was pretty physical but we dominated and had possession almost the entire game. We knew we had to win to keep our first place spot so making it happen felt awesome,” junior Giuffre said.

Lady Tide Girls Soccer beat North Schuylkill Lady Spartans to gain the Schuylkill League Division | Title on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Fantastic teamwork led the Lady Tide to the victory. The game was close with a 3 – 0 win.

Kailey Olenick scored the first goal by staying with the ball and charging for a score. Just a few minutes later Giuffre took the ball from a Lady Spartan and assisted the ball to Lauren Kelly who scored the second goal.

With just a few seconds left in the first half, the third goal was assisted by Abbie Davis and a score was made by Kailey again.

Lady Tide Defense kept the Lady Spartans from scoring in the second half to secure the Division I Title.

The next time the Lady Tide plays will be on Monday, October 7th against the Tamaqua Girls Soccer team at home for the last home game of the season. Come out to support the Division | Champs at 6:00.
