SPIRIT – 8th graders Brody Eroh, Christopher Hobbs, Andrew Allen, Harrison Ciavarella, Colin McGinley, and Patrick Bolich pose together on “Western Wednesday.”

Every year at DHH Lengel Middle School just a week before the PSSA Tests, we have Spirit Week. It’s a week where we show school spirit by wearing weird outfits like dressing up like a cowboy or cowgirl or wearing a certain color to show we are united.

This year’s spirit week outfits included:

  • Wednesday: Western Wednesday (Dress up like a cowboy or cowgirl )
  • Thursday: Team Jersey Day (Wear your favorite team jersey or your own )
  • Friday: Fanatic Friday (Fifth and sixth graders wear red and seventh and eighth graders wear White )

So that was this year’s spirit week. But why do we have it in the first place?

“It keeps the students motivated to be on better behavior,“ explained Adam Donya, a PBIS Ambassador. “It makes them more likely to be on better behavior.”
