Everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. Whether it be through hair, personality, or a hobby, the art of expressing oneself is something that every teenager is accustomed to. One of the most common way that people express themselves is through their clothing style.

     Clothing will always have an important role in expressing how we see ourselves to other people, along with our goals of who we want to be. According to psychologytoday.com, “Style is the ability to distinctively sort through the maze of things, make a selection and do so in a way that is in keeping with how we see ourselves.” 

     Some students in Pottsville high school enjoy showing who they are through their clothing choice. While asking around, the following students gave us their input.

     Sophomore Jordon Steidle said in a well worded quote, “I love wearing my own variety of styles. I express myself through clothing by doing my own thing. If I enjoy a style or wearing something, I’m going to do it.”

     Junior Brynn Nagle said, “I always said, ‘Create your own style…. let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.’”

No matter what kind of person you are or who you want to be, there will always be a way to express yourself through the clothing you wear. There is no shortage of styles to choose from. You can always change it if you feel you want or need to as well. After all, clothing is always changing and adapting. Why not let it adapt alongside you as you grow into the person you want to become!
