Which art classes have you already taken?

“So far I’ve completed six art courses. I took Foundations of Art freshman year; Drawing and Painting I sophomore year; Computer Art, 3D Design and Fiber Metal Arts semester one of [this] year; and am currently in Painting II, Ceramics I, Photog I and Advanced Drawing.”

Which art class are these works from?

“My entries were done in Computer Art class last semester.”

Which was your favorite and why?

“My favorite art class was probably Painting I, and I really like Painting II so far as well because I just prefer painting over drawing.”

Which medium is your favorite?

“I love oil painting in Painting II so I’d have to say that’s slowly becoming my favorite medium.”

Which art classes would you like to take next year?

“I plan on taking the rest of the art classes offered here as a senior: Painting III, Photog II, Ceramics II and AP Studio Art.”

What was the inspiration for “Compass Rose”?

“We were assigned a compass rose and I was stuck on what to do. Whenever I don’t know what to do, I always go to flowers, resulting in a nature colored compass with flowers around it.”

What was the inspiration for “Illustrated Word”?

“For another assignment, Miss Boncore gave us a word and we had to illustrate its meaning using typography. I was assigned ‘ideate,’ so I just thought of symbols and things that remind me of coming up with ideas.”
