Every four years, the PAHS band goes to Walt Disney World in Florida. The band goes to march in the Festival to Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom. This year, the band went from February 20th to February 24th. The week consisted of all the Disney Parks, including Universal for one of those days.
The band left at 2:30am on February 20th, ready to head to Florida. This had been a long awaited trip because of how much work was put into it. There was fundraising and events held to help raise money for the trip. The school hosted a food truck event and the band sold lottery tickets. Everyday during ninth period, the band practiced their parade song, Disney Magical Marches.
“Disney was a really fun experience, it was great spending time in the parks with my friends. The parade was such a surreal moment and something I’ll remember forever,” said Tyler Sibbett “We were always tired and our feet hurt but the excitement to get on more and more rides was all of our motivation. Especially for the Star Wars ride, Rise of Resistance.”
The next Disney trip will take place in four years, being the year 2028.
