Boys Tennis is flying by, with only a handful of games left. The season started out rocky, with low interest rates from the spring sports meeting and unpredictable weather causing many six postponed games out of the original nineteen game season. Despite all odds, the team has gained wins.

Even after their big win over East Stroudsburg on Friday, Coach Portland says the season is unpredictable. “There’s so many games left, there’s no knowing how the rest of the season will turn out,” said Portland. “Even if it’s not as expected, the competitiveness and attitude of the players is pleasing”

Senior Kevin Dinu, who has three singles wins so far, believes that this season was much better than the 2023 season. “There’s been significant improvement from last season, I’m just annoyed at the postponement of so many matches.”

As of now, the final game for Boys Tennis is on April 26th against Antietam. The game also marks the final home game of the season. Even though the season is ending, it’s never too late to show interest in the sport. Ask Coach Portland in the planetarium for more information on boys and girls tennis.
