People from all around the county volunteered to participate in the Pottsville Alumni Fun Run on Saturday November, 11th. The first student to finish the race was Cullen Clarke.
Twelve students and alumni from PAHS ran. Students including Izzy Teresavage, Ryan March, and the eventual winner Cullen Clarke. “It was a fun experience getting to run the course in a non-serious manner for once,” Clarke said “especially when it’s for a good cause.”
The run was to raise money for the cross country teams. It was a free entry and they raised $1,875 all from donations. This will surely benefit the team for next season.
Ms. Lombell, an alumni who helped organize the race said, “For our very first year of the Inaugural Alumni Run, we were overwhelmed with how much support we received and donations. The cross country teams are extremely grateful for the group of alumni that organized this and for all of the donations we received from the community. We are looking forward to already planning for next year’s event.”
