Caitlyn Rorabaugh has been recognized as Artist of the Month, an achievement that highlights both her artistic growth and her ability to create work with meaningful depth. Known for her focus in ceramics and 3D art, Rorabaugh has developed a style centered around storytelling, using her pieces to explore themes of growth, memory, and identity. 

Much of her inspiration comes from personal experience, particularly the process of growing up. She describes her work as rooted in reflection, explaining, “I want to focus on growing up and things around that.” This sense of nostalgia is present throughout her art, allowing viewers to connect with familiar emotions while interpreting her work in their own way. 

As a student in AP 3D Art, Rorabaugh has embraced a more independent and creative approach to her projects. After building a foundation in earlier art classes, she now thrives in an environment that allows her to experiment freely and develop her own ideas. She is especially drawn to ceramics, where she can move beyond structured assignments and create pieces that feel more personal and expressive. 

A defining feature of Rorabaugh’s work is her use of layered meaning. Each piece is built around a central theme, but includes smaller, intentional details that add complexity and invite closer observation. She aims for her audience to engage with her art on a deeper level, noting, “I want people to be able to look at it and think about the story and the different elements of it.” This approach transforms her work from simple visual pieces into experiences that encourage curiosity and interpretation. 

Although she plans to pursue art as a minor in college, Rorabaugh’s dedication to creativity remains evident. She has expressed pride in the work she has produced throughout high school and continues to push herself artistically.
