Snowstorm Stella attacks Pottsville streets (photo essay)

Winter Storm Stella dropped 20 inches of snow on Pottsville March 14. Dr. Jeffrey Zwiebel, superintendent, closed school Tuesday through Friday, giving students a six-day-weekend. These photos showcase the areas hit with snow during the week.

VIEW – A bird’s eye view of the 20 inches of snow Winter Storm Stella dropped on Pottsville. Many people spent their day off cleaning up the mess the storm left, playing in the snow or just relaxing at home.

SIT  Senior Samantha Disabella’s back porch sits covered in snow. Snowstorm Stella left Pottsville and Schuylkill County stuck for a week in the snow.
COVER – Snow covers the land surrounding houses in Forest Hills. Many neighbors were out shoveling their driveways and sidewalks earlier in the day.
