October isn’t known for Halloween only, it is also known for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many, many people ask why this is acknowledged. Breast Cancer Awareness is acknowledged because we need to show that they are not the only ones who are fighting, everyone is. For this event, the color is pink. Why? because it is soothing, comforting, and healing. Last Friday, October 13, Lengel and the Pottsville Area School District had a “PINK OUT” for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Lengel students and staff, as well as other Pottsville students and staff wore pink to school and to the homecoming football game to show their support. October is a special month!
