During the Pottsville vs. Marian Catholic swim meet, Adam Klinger broke the Pottsville Boys Varsity record with a score of 252.75. The record was previously held by M. Stagliano, who’s record of 252.65 made a mark in 1995. Along with the varsity record, Klinger also won the event.
Along with the school record, Adam has had a rather successful season so far, with great scores every meet. Looking back on last season, Klinger did very well, with a 1st place Schuylkill League finish, as well as a 2nd place district finish, qualifying him for the PIAA State Championships. “The school record was one of my goals this season, so to have it down is a relief, although my biggest goal at the moment is to win districts.” Said Junior Adam Klinger.
To add on, the Crimson Tide boys and girls teams both won the meet, with the boys score of 104-32, and girls score of 78-52. Adam hopes to beat more records as the season progresses and wants to make it all the way to states.
