Zach Reichard takes over as boys soccer coach

Senior Dylan Bohorad kicks the ball down the field. The Tide took the loss to The Cardinals 1-0. Dylan Bohorad said, “The best thing I like about Zach is his determination for the game. He loves soccer and loves to coach.”

Starting off the 2020-2021 soccer season, Zach Reichard was welcomed to the family of the boys soccer team as their new coach. Throughout the season they held the record of 6-7-2. 

 Reichard said, “ I was a graduate of Pottsville in 2013 and played for the boys soccer team all throughout high school. I’ve been in the military since I graduated high school.” 

Senior soccer player, Dylan Bohorad said, “The best thing I like about Zach is his determination for the game. He loves soccer and loves to coach. 

 This is Reichard’s eight year of coaching when coming to Pottsville. 

 Reichard said, “Before coming to Pottsville I coached Tri-Valley girls for five years. After hearing about the vacancy at Pottsville I knew I wanted to take the job.” 

 Sophomore soccer player, Aiden Koystal said, “Zach helped me and most of my teammates with our endurance this season. He wanted to make sure while the other teams were tired late in the games we were still running.” 

 Bohorad said, “He definitely helped out a lot with conditioning. Every single one of us on the team can run from the 18 to the 18 for a whole game.” 

 The boys last game was yesterday, October 15, 2020 at Alumni Field against Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes. The Crimson Tide won to the Hurricanes 1-0.
