The Crimson Carnival is an annual event at PAHS. The Carnival is for all students at the end of the year as a present for getting through the year. The Carnival has snacks, food, bounce houses, face paint, charictures, and more.
Each year students earn crimson cash so they are rewarded for their good behavior. At the end of the year around the time for the carnival, you can cash in your crimson cash for something worth more called a “Carnival Cash.” The Carnival Cash is used for food if you would like fries, fried oreos, or funnel cake.
A favorite from the student body each year is the pie eating contest. Students gather around the table from all sides and volunteers are selected from the audience to eat the pie. The students must finish a whole pie with their hands tied behind their back in a matter of seconds and the first one to finish their pie wins.
“My favorite part of the carnival has to be the face paint. I may be a little biased because I’m an artsy person but there’s just something about painting someone’s face and making them happy even if we are old,” Senior Elizabeth Ortiz said.
