Every year the drama club puts on a show they put on to all of Schuylkill County and more. This year they’re performing the popular show Man of La Mancha. Many students were happy with this outcome because the director, Mrs. Maria Malek has been teasing this for years.
The story of Man La Mancha is based on the novel Don Quixote which is a play within a play that has characters awaiting their trial in prison. All the characters in the story serve an important role in the bigger story. Don Quixote played by senior Robert Rulavage really puts his all into the performance.
“I’m really excited to see everyone enjoy the show. I feel like a lot of us put our all into this as we always do and it’s just something I find really special. The preview is something really nerve racking we have to do but it’s necessary to get my classmates to be interested in seeing it during the show weekend,” Junior Jules Sharockman said.
“I really liked the preview of Man of La Mancha. It’s fun to see the thought and hardwork it takes into making the whole production. The performances were really great and it has definitely convinced me to come this weekend,” Senior Izzy Teresavage said.
